About Us
The History
In 1987 Harold Myers started his first company Associated Produce Services, which is still in operation today. APS uses the latest market information from the USDA to create custom reports and faxes them to its customers. Even with the advances in technology since APS’s beginnings, fax is still the main form of communication for this company’s customers.
The emergence of the internet allowed The AgPlus Network to be founded in 1997. Over the years AgPlus has steadily grown and currently provides a wide range of clients in the produce industry with essential information from the USDA Market News Service so they can stay up to date on market information. AgPlus boasts a varied group of clients including produce buying organizations, large and small supermarket chains, produce growers and brokers, as well as Wall Street firms looking to track produce industry pricing information.
Through the years, these companies have mastered the skill of providing their customers with services that are designed to meet their specific needs, while maintaining affordable prices. They believe in a strong relationship with their customers, and many of their best offerings were developed with input from their customers.
FreshLink is the newest member of the AgPlus family. FreshLink allows buyers to easily organize and assess price quotes from their suppliers. It is also an easy, instant way that sellers can transmit pricing information to buyers. This is the latest in pricing information organization, and both buyers and sellers can easily benefit from this tool.
The new and improved FreshLink, being launched in 2013, provides sellers with an easier to use interface, as well as more analysis tools. Members will also enjoy the benefit of online, two-way communication.
